GOODBYE GIRLS!!!

Finally, after two months of waiting.....my insurance has finally approved by surgery for my reduction. I will be getting it done on January 2nd. I am seriously so excited. I was so happy when I got the phone call yesterday I started crying. I am sure the lady was thinking I has lost my mind.

NEW DO

I cut my hair last week. I get so bored of always having the same look. I decided to go with bangs, I haven't had those for over 10 years so that is going to take some getting used too.

WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE.................

Talk about being a slacker. I hadn't realized that it had been so long ago since my last update.
I work 14 hrs a day on a computer and the last thing I want to do is get on one when I get home.

Rusty got a new job at Associated Foods in Farr West. He is going to be there Transportation Coordinator. He started that on Monday. He is going to be in heaven not having to wake up at 4 to get ready for work. He doesn't have to be to work til 8 now...he sucks!! I on the other hand am stuck with driving to Salt Lake. I did have a job interview yesterday in Logan and it went very good. They had to put together an offer and will be getting back to me by next week.

I finally made an appointment with the plastic surgeon the end of August to see about getting a reduction. Everything is looking good there and I hope to have those puppies smaller by the end of next month. The doctor estimated that he would have to take out about 10lbs total...that is tons of extra weight to be carrying around.

I was tired of being overweight, none of my clothes fit me so I put myself on a diet. I started the sixth of August and to date I have lost a total of 26 lbs. I feel so much better. Only 40 more pounds to go and Rusty is taking me shopping for a whole new wardrobe.

NEW BOOBS, NEW BODY....WHAT ELSE COULD I ASK FOR!!
That is about the extent of our excitement. Hope everyone is doing good.

LUNCH DATE WITH LISA AND MISS GRACIE...

Yesterday I went to lunch with my friend Lisa and her cute daughter Gracie. Lisa and I have been friends since we worked together at the Flying J. We had so much fun. It was really good to hang out with them. Lisa is a very special friend and I have no idea what I would do without her in my life. I am so glad that I am back home so I can spend more time with her. We just about lost Lisa last year while she was having Gracie, so we are extremely blessed to still have her here with us. Love you Lisa!!

Look at those cheeks, I look like I am smuggling nuts!!

Miss Gracie just turned one last week. I can't believe how big she is getting. She is such a doll and has such cute dimples.

Thanks Lisa and Gracie for going to lunch with me. I had so much fun. I can't wait to see you both again soon!

4TH OF JULY...................

I went out to Tremonton on Saturday to watch the fireworks with my brother and his wife and my two nieces. I was so SAD, they only lasted 30 minutes.
Here are a few pictures from our ever so exciting night.

MCCALL

McCall didn't like them so much. The whole time we were waiting she was so excited to watch them and couldn't wait for them to start, . You would ask her what the fireworks said and she would go "BOOM, BOOM BOOM" it was so funny. Then by the time she heard them go "BOOM, BOOM, BOOM" she didn't find them as neat.

I THINK THIS LOOKS LIKE A JELLY FISH

I never realized how hard it was to take pictures of fireworks. I just couldn't seem to get it down.

UPDATE............

I am off work today, so I decided that I should update my blog. Not much has been going on. Our life right now consist of working, going to the gym and sleeping. Exciting I know!!

Last week Rusty and I went to Twin Lakes in Idaho with my brothers and there wives. We had a blast. No pictures, sorry....I swear I forget to take the camera everywhere I go. We spent 5 days up there boating and playing on the jet skies. Rusty got sun burned the first day we where there. The dummy didn't think he needed sun screen. Needless to say he wore a shirt the rest of the time we where there.

We are still living with my parents. I am hoping we don't have to do this much longer. I dearly love them, but it really sucks having to live in tiny space. We are looking for some land to purchase either in Honeyville or Tremonton. Rusty thinks that he wants to be farmer. I just go along with whatever he wants to do. I could care less what he does as long as we get a house and we don't have to live with my parents for ever.

We did join the gym.....FINALLY!! I gained so much weight since my car accident and I just couldn't handle it anymore. Since Rusty and ride to work together now, we stop in on our way home from work. I feel so much better when I work out. I am sure that I will start looking better too!

We have been spending most of our weekends going to different rodeos watching my nephew Rowdy riding mini bulls. He is doing really good this year and has won tons of money. He is taking a break from it now. His knee got stepped on at a rodeo in Grace, ID and he has damaged it pretty good. Hopefully his recovery will be short and he can get back to doing what he loves to do.

HELLO.................

Well, I know I haven't been doing such a great job updating this lately. It has been extremely hectic lately. I promise that I will work on doing a better job updating.

Between work and this very long commute to Salt Lake, by the time we get home it is off to bed we go. Exciting I know.

This weather has been great lately. There for awhile it felt like I was living back in Seattle. I was starting to think that it followed us down here. Thank goodness it went away, I wasn't sure how long I could deal with it.

Hope thing are going good for everyone!!

HOW TRUE, HOW TRUE......

I received this email today and couldn't stop laughing because it is so true. So, I wanted to share with you all.

My parents told me about Mr. Common Sense early in my life and told me I would do well to call on him when making decisions. It seems he was always around in my early years but less and less as time passed by. Today I read his obituary. Please join me in a moment of silence in remembrance, for Common Sense had served us all so well for so many generations.

Obituary
Common Sense

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn't always fair, and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not children are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they themselves failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Aspirin, sun lotion or a Band-Aid to a student.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar can sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by three stepbrothers; I Know my Rights, Someone Else is to Blame, and I'm a Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

FINALLY AN UPDATE!!

Well, it seems as if I have done a terrible job keeping up with the posts. So, since I am waiting for my laundry to finish up I thought I would sign on and write a little something.
Here we go:
*Rusty bought he a few cows
*Looking for a home to buy. Although it is great living with my parents, I am not sure that I can do it much longer. I hate sharing space.
*Our days consist of working and driving. Can't wait for the weekends to come.
*Our gas bill is outrageous. Thank goodness for carpool.
*Hate mosquito's. My arms seriously look like I do drugs. I have never had mosquito bites as bad as I have been getting them since we moved here. They suck!!
*What has been up with the rain. I thought I moved away for it, but I am thinking it followed us down here.
*Can't wait to sell our house. I hate making a house payment on something I don't live in.
*Went camping over Memorial Weekend up to Malad. Had tons of fun there. We had a BBQ here at my parents house on Monday. It was a BBQ inside thanks to the wonderful rain we had that day.
That is about it, nothing exciting at all going on in our lifes.

FINALLY BACK HOME................

Well, We have made it back to Utah. We got in on Friday at 9:30 at night. It took 17 1/2 hrs to get here. It was a very long drive. I will never ride in a UHaul ever again. They are extremely bumpy.
Rusty and I both started work down in Salt Lake on Monday. It is going to be a very long commute. I have been getting home at 6:00 and he hasn't been getting home til about 8:00. Talk about a very long day. Hopefully we can find a home closer to Salt Lake once we sale our house in Seattle.
It is very nice to be back home. I am very excited to be here to watch my nieces and nephews grow up and eventually start having some of our own.

READY FOR THE BIG MOVE..............

Our house is finally just about all packed up. What a pain it has been. I seriously didn't think that we were going to get it done. This has been a really big headache!! All that is left are a few odds and ends and the cleaning (my least favorite part). Only five more days left and we will be heading back to Utah. I am so excited to move back home.

This has really helped me deal with all the stress of the move . I don't know how I would have made it without it :) You should try it, it really does works!!

NEW CAR..

So, with moving down to Utah and now having a commute of 70 miles one way we decided that we need to trade in my Xterra for a much more practical car. The Xterra was great for here because I only had to driver 8 miles to work. Yesterday we went and traded it in for an 08' Nissan Sentra. It is a cute car and will be great for commuting back and forth to Salt Lake everyday, plus 33mpg vs 17 mpg made it even better. I am going to miss my Xterra but I would rather save money. I can always get another one.

THE MOVE........

Our last day of work up here is going to be March 28th. We plan on taking a few days after that to get the house all packed and into the U-Haul. My Dad, Kellen and Lindsay are going to be flying up here on April 3rd to help us finish everything up and then we are all going to be heading on back to Utah on April 5th. It is going to be so nice to have them up here to help us out. We have both our vehicles and the U-Haul to drive down to Utah and there was no way we could do it with just us two.
I am so excited to get out of here. It is going to be sad to leave my first home, but I there will always be another one. We have so much to get done and so little time to do it in. I just don't know where to begin. I hate moving. It drives me nuts.
So, We are going to be back in Utah that first weekend in April. Can't wait to see everyone.

THE MOVE IS GETTING CLOSER

Rusty is in Utah right now interviewing for a job in Farr West. He already has two definite jobs down in Salt Lake, but he just wants to make sure he leaves all of his options open. I however, already have a job waiting for me. I am just transferring back to work with Swift in Salt Lake. Rusty has a job down there too, but I am 100% positive he wont take it.
We are so behind with the packing. I am not even half way done. It is crazy how much stuff you accumulate over a short period of time. We have to be out of our house by April 1st so the new people can move in. We found someone to Lease the house and they are going to purchase it the first of January. We were pretty nervous about what we were going to do with the house, but it seems as if everything is coming together.
I am so excited to move back home and get away from all this rain. I need a little sunshine in my life!!
We will be living with my parents for awhile. I am not sure how that is going to go, but I guess we will survive. We are just thankful that they are willing to let us move in. We actually feel extremely blessed with the way things are falling into place. Very long story so I wont go into it. Lets just say someone is definitely watching over us.
That is all for now, will post more with it gets closer.

I'VE BEEN TAGGED

My Middle Name:

My Friend Stephanie tagged me....Here are the rules. You must post the rules before you give your answers. You must list something about yourself for each letter of your middle name. Each fact must begin with that letter. If you don't have a middle name, just use your maiden name. At the end of your post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and need to read your blog for details).

My middle name is ...............I don't have a middle name, so I have to you my Maiden name. My maiden name is COOK.

C - I love to COOK. I love trying out new recipes.

O - I love the OUTDOORS!

O - I am OVERWEIGHT. I am not sure if that is interesting or not. I can't wait to get back home so I can really start loosing those pounds. Depression doesn't help the weight situation at all.

K - I am a very KIND person. It drivers Rusty nuts, because I feel that I have to help everyone out every possible way. I have a habit of going a little overboard with it.

I would like to tag Katie, Shara, Tawnya and my Aunt Carole.

WHAT A VERY SAD DAY..........

I was so shocked by the passing of President Hinckley. I couldn't believe this. I was positive that he would never pass away. He was such an amazing man. I would watch Conference just so I could listen to him speak. He did such an incredible job at it.

I am glad that he will be with his cute wife again. I loved seeing them together. They were such the perfect couple. He is definitely going to be missed.

Snow Day....

We got snow today. This is a very rare occurance. It is so funny, people don't even know how to act when we do get it. They close school for the day, people can't make it into work and those who are on the rode drive like idiots. I would have taken some pictures, but the 2inches we did get melted by the time I got home. We are supposed to get some more tonight. I can't wait. I love the white stuff!!

Happy Birthday Jason..

Today is my brother Jasons 28th birthday. I just wanted to wish him a very Happy Birthday!

The ever so boring update......

I decided I would get up and write at least something so everyone knows we are still alive and kicking. We both are trying to get over being sick. Sounds like it is going around.

They changed my schedule at work, for the next three months, so know I work Sunday - Thursday. It is nice having a weekday off, but I am pretty upset that I have to miss church. I guess it is only for a few months.

Nothing exciting has really been going on. We are getting our house all ready to put the "FOR SALE" signs up. I hope we are able to sale it quickly. The way the housing market is, I don't have much faith. I guess if it is meant to be it will. Now we are having to decide where we want to move. Rusty and I are both ready to move back to Utah, so everyone pray that something miraculous happens so we can get out of here. I really miss being close to my family and friends. It is so crazy how I was excited to move away and experience a new challenge. It isn't all it is cracked up to be. I would much rather live close to family and friends.
